When I was employed as a landscaper, I would travel to each individual job, can the mileage be used for tax relief?

Direct employee, Ive looked onHMRC website and It does state you can get tax relief on temporary work place! So if I drive from home to each job I would class that as a temporary work place. I'll give HMRC a ring tomorrow to check. Just thought you guys would know, I might be able to get some tax back!

if you were employed direct and you travelled to a temporary place of work (no longer than 24months at each place) you can claim the tax back at 40p for the first 10kmiles and 25 a mile after that. The form you need is a P87 i think.

Hello

You should check your employment contract and if it states a place of work?

Tax man might ask you that.
