There some 20 3ft high concrete posts that had wire through, (council type) is it a optain to dig out, or would i be better to use a concrete breaker, they seem very solid or could i cut off at the bottom, and put the fresh posts abit awey?
What type of breaker would be best, or what type of cutter?
Best way I've seen lately is a hydraulic kerb lifter/grabber attached to a JCB (or it may have been a Massey) yanking out the posts one at a time and dumping them straight into the back of an 8-wheeler. Saves all that effing about with slings and ropes!
Good idea, but its just a diy job, dont have access to big toys like that I was thinking something like a concrete breaker or along them lines, would it be a nightmare to try to hand dig them out, and break them up with a slegde hammer ???
The posts are not very high, so might be an idea to have a dig around one to see how much concrete is involved.
If you can't break them out with hand tools, then you could hire either a petrol or electric breaker.
