why would someone who went to college for 3 years want to sign off unseen work?
my mate duncan who is a top sparks gets these requests all the time and he cannot do it
its a no brainer most electrical work is 1-2 days first fix and 1-2 days second fix ,not big money
sorry simon dont know anyone in that area maybe try mybuilder?
cheers LLL

the problem is that if electrical work is unsigned off at the time it has to be assumed to be shoddy
it can be checked but that involves taking up floorboards etc
spurs are out of the window now, everything must be on a ring and the correct cable
and rab the cookers draw depends on what cable it needs ,mine had to have 10mm armoured which actually measured 35mm in diameter and cots me £250 from the meter to the cooker around the house :O
i thought i could just plug the cooker in to a normal socket
oh no

you got one hell of a cooker tony, 10mm armoured core is bigger than the cable lighting your street lighting.
i know what your saying but for standard domestic cookers in a normal house 6mm is the approved cable but that's why you need an approved spark or spark to sign off as they will know the specifics of the site.
