No i spoke to the website people and they said that it can take google up to 3 months to fully index the site before adwords will begin to work? what dya reckon?

Well i dont know about all that. For some reason adwords wont send traffic to your website. Ive never had that issue with my 5. And they were all new when i started.

once you have opened an adwords acount and set up your ad campains using your chosen keywords you can get isitors to your site within 15 minutes of making the ads live

where do they get 3 months from as there is a big difference between getting a site indexed and appearing in the search results page which can take up to 3 months or longer in some cases and running an ad campain where your paying for the ad to appear which is instant

you dont even need to have your site indexed for the adwords ads to appear on the google search result page

I'd have thought Adwords would be pretty much instant, the 3 months will be for organic growth.
Have you paid them extra for Adwords?

I set up the afwords for dan, a seperate campagin for each page, working in a 30 mile radius. Made it all live and adwords are saying due to an issue with the destination site they refuse to divert traffic there so campaigns are on hold, but web builders are giving him a load of bollocks about why that is, i suspect the server they use may have some dodgy content etc

oh, so what do you reckon i do then? The problem is that the company/person that built the site are people i know so giving them a hard time is difficult!

Where or who is actually hosting the website? (I can see the AVJ design connection, and it’s not that, but the actual rack or shelf holding the server with your website on it)


I can see that it’s a UK based server, as opposed to you unknowingly being hosted on a dubious server in a strange lawless country…which might have explained or created the issue, as a result of what else is hosted on the server alongside you.


And whilst it looks as though senses.co.uk host it for you, their domain being http://www.s3d.co.uk/

Although, and for some reason, the name Compuweb Communications Services Limited seem to have lodged in my mind as well ( it popped into a search result, along with a company called layershift Ltd, but I thought they were incorrect search returns)

But those other names and the senses.co.uk might be because your web designer / creator also offered hosting and they are a reseller, and not the actual host…maybe even a reseller of a larger resale company, as opposed to direct arrangement.

Don’t you just love the internet, there’s so many middle men taking a slice of the cake before it gets onto your plate.


If they are a reseller, and you are ultimately hosted by company unknown then this might be why they are a bit reluctant at addressing the adword issue. Because until they raise it with company they purchase the hosting from, they haven’t got an answer they can relay to you. And the more layers or middle men, well, it has to go up the line and then all the way back down again...you are 1st to raise it and last with the answer.



But that wasn’t the main issue or worry, but whilst looking I noticed the registrant of your URL and it being listed as AVJ Design Ltd.

And I can see from their location that AVJ are local to you, and it might just be something they did whilst setting you up and eventually, when practical, they are going to transfer / give you full ownership of the dngroundwork.co.uk URL name.

However, and if they aren’t and they own it outright, then you will likely be renting the URL from them for years to come.

Have a word. They have done you a good website so I'm sure they have met Adwords before. Maybe they didn't like that local setup Adwords for you and not them so they're dragging there feet.

You gotta remember these Internet ppl are the cowboy builders of our time.
