I was having an alright day until I went to the petrol station to fill my van up.
BP in Newbury are charging 147.9p a litre for standard diesel. I remember a few years back when the prices went above a £1, there were demonstrations and all sorts.
How come now there is not so much as a whimper, even though prices are close to £1.50?

i put £100 a week in my navara, which i pass on to my customers, through my rate depending on where im working and who for or worked into the price.
I used to run my little van on sunflower oil mixed with diesel was great until they put up the price of it and introduced some law which made it illegal after a certain amount of litres!

Filling up 4 wagons makes me cry sometimes. I agree Steve, it's getting beyond a joke now.
We are having notifications of asphalt increases on a monthly basis now, March 1st saw an increase of £6/ton. Not good.

great stuff NOTlocal patios and driveways wrote:Better off buying a cheap van and running it on red diesel, if you get dipped, (ive never been dipped) let them take the van.
I have been dipped twice
our digger driver got caught short and had to put red diesel in to his low loader(his own fault)
but wanting to do things right he rang up VOSA and told them what he had done and offered to pay xyz to make things right
they fined him £1600
re:vegetable oil when it was 22p a litre from aldis i knew a few lads running on it straight
but it seems to match the price of diesel now so no point and another possible nicking
mrs lout dropped me to the pub today and she commented that petrol had gone up 5 p a litre in a week
a lot of this is to do with unrest in the middle east especially Syria and Iran

I'd buy a horse and cart if the cost of feed wasn't so expensive!! Getting hold of fuel is getting a joke too. Has anybody noticed how few Stations there are now. If your running on the warning light, as I have done recently a few times, you can start to get a bit nervous if your out of your manor. Lots of the smaller Private stations have had to pack it in now, it's mainly Supermarkets now, be running around like Fred Flintstone soon if this carries on. :p
Gi it sum ommer
