OK I understand but your Marshall's regional assessor was the same as mine and he is an absolute gentleman, he can't do enough to help us, any problems get sorted and if he can't he will get the person you need to speak to from Marshall's to contact us direct
but like you say leave it at that

if you look on the recent work thread mick pablo has finally worked out how to post piccies and has done some work in a similar vein to your own
did you not find the nibs clashed with drivesett due when you turn them up side down for the other colour?
same as dan I like doing paving ,but do mostly building as thats where the money is for me anyway
re: marshalls and bradstone
it would be pishing in the wind for dN to have to compete against you on similar drives wouldn't it?
lovely looking work btw as usual

its only the same as me competing with the 15 -20 other Marshall's installers in the Bolton and surrounding area, I don't see it as a problem as competition is healthy and I cant or won't get every job and neither will they so it evens itself out leaving enough work for everyone
I can't find the recent work thread you mentioned, have you got a link ?
when you spin the drivesett duo over for the 60/40 mix on the 2 colours the lugs do indeed touch if you laid them half bond as you normally would do so you have to lay a third bond instead and they will miss each other

sadly it was herringbone when i discovered it :;):
so it made life challenging
most expensive blocks i ever laid, around £28 per metre IIRC
think pablo sussed posting pics round about here
realistically mick you and maybe 2-3 others are on top of the game in the north west
competition always seems healthy when your number 1 :;):

I dont know of anyone else round here knocking out driveways to the same caliber as Mick G, very smart stuff.lutonlagerlout wrote:competition always seems healthy when your number 1 :;):
Me personally i like the bigger jobs where you can get a few big toys on site.
Im finding more and more now that i cant compete on the small domestic paving jobs.
For me general groundworks for developers etc seems to be the best paying

drives if you are geared up purely for drives/patios, can be good money
but round this way people want it done cheap cheap and theres plenty of poles, pakistani, and pikey lads prepared to do it for crap money to a poor standard
there was 1 fella round here who knocked out stuff maybe 5 % away from mick and pablo
he emigrated to Australia last year,
