been a busy january. Was persuaded to rent a bigger unit, as i had out grown the previous one. I had 600sqft. This one is 1080, plus i had a mezzanine floor fitted, to give even more storage.
the new unit i can fit my truck in and unlaod it in the dry, and even tip the body up inside to work on it
Previous barn i only had 7' height doorway!

the only thing cheap in the dirty south LPAD is the birdsong
you know that yourself :;):
there is so much money for people to convert stuff like dan has around here that the rents are robbery without violence

Looks great Dan - wishing you the best -
Bit disappointed by TV Birdsong - long intense smouldering etc - the book scared me to death - we're born in a very lucky generation.

guard rail on the mezzanine?

ha. thats what my mate said, he reckoned it was really dangerous.
I could have had one, but it storage of things i hardly need. leftover roofing felt, black matting, bags of sawdust for the rabbitt, spare light bulbs that sort of thing.so i decided that as i was hardly up there (and do not store stuff near the edge) it would be ok.
Staircase was a freebee, and purely by chance it was exactly the right size. they are £500 otherwise!
luxury to have the space, just have to pay for it now :(

tidy dan, look better when full. i feel sorry for anyone having to rent space for there bits of kit. i am very lucky i have enough space at home for my gear. it would worry me leaving my stuff anywhere. also the cost must add up.

you're right. it costs me £5400 per year, but i also get an outside storage area where i have sand/ballast/rubble/crushed/logs and leftover materials, a wash down bay and free water.
I pay elec and insurance on top, but i also have metered red diesel right next to me.
Its all tax deductable at the end of the day.
The owner lives on site, and is handy with the gun :p
I used to have a free yard, until some kind person reported me to the council, and the owner booted me out without warning.
he's now pushing up daises, but he left me with a sour taste.
luckily this place came up, and the owner couldn't be more obliging.
he even lets me use his manitou!

think my shed cost me about 5k, but its mine. with electric and insurance you must be over 6k a year. you have to earn some £'s before you start earning owt for your self. i am lucky, i own everything i got so most of what i earn is mine.
