That's where the real money is at. My friend paid £1000 for a wedding photographer for the day, I told him he was an idiot and that he should have spent that money on a good camera and I could have taken a few thousand photos for him, could have filled an album with the good ones and gotten rid of (or laughed at) the crap ones.

I get a lot of money getting naked for women too, the work isn't regular but it is easy, fun and obscene money. If I can find someone decent enough to make me a few websites, who isn't trying to rip me off or blow smoke up my ass I'll be happy and maybe get more business.

As usual. nice photos. Are any of them touched in photoshop?

No offence but if he had bought a camera and you'd taken a 1000 pics he would have been dissspointed, I've done 5 weddings now starting with the first one just snapping away upto most recent that looked as good if not better than some pros. You hopefully only have one wedding day...

Some have been photoshopped namely the toy story and the selective desaturation on Vicki pic.

Going to start selling prints online as well

None taken :D
I'm not saying taking good photos is easy and that anyone can do it, I'm just saying that if you take enough photos one of them will be good, law of large numbers and all that. Nobody would risk the wrath of their wife to be on their wedding day though which is why photographers, and anyone involved in weddings for that matter, get away with charging exorbitant prices.

i used to think that, what you paid 2000 for a wedding photographer pffft ffs etc until i actually did one for free for a mate, shit! they are hard pressured work, much much more fun going gettig hammered and having a fumble with a bridesmaid than running rd with £10K worth of camera gear,

capital investment 10-50k on camera gear computers and lighting backdrops etc, insurance, web site etc etc

so youve got the meet and greet with clients 1 day

pre weddign shoot 1 day

wedding day 1 long day 8am - 12-2am etc so a big day

editting the 200 or so choices from your 2000 good shots, maybe deleted 1000 on top, proper editing for print so 20 mins a photo minimum talking 3-5 days depending on how good you are

1 150 photo album - £400 ish so it

so you are talking 5-6 days ish then theres all tho other photo to edit for guest etc to maybe buy prints of, archive etc and deal with client hassle so its actually not that bad price.

im doing another wedding soon for a good friend, for free like a muppet, im also arranging the porta loos and a generator as its in a large tepee in the woods

its a bellmouth spillway, stops the reservoir overflowing. one on each side of the dam, they go through the dam and discharge into the river, they are 23 meters across. you wouldnt want to get sucked down one hehe.
