Ive just received a dual mass flywheel and clutch that i bought off ebay and they have come off a 10 plate nav.
Help!

i dont know off the top of my head, nissan-navara.net try the forum im a infrequent member there but great site
its a big job, transfer box off etc, mine took all day at my uncles garage, sounds like an expensive purchase
my clutch kit was 250, flywheel 500 then 300 labour from my uncle! but heard it being 2300 from nissan

I bought the lot off a breaker for 250, its in great nick! Labour will be zero, as my dad is a foreman at a main dealers and it just so happens that i am good friends with the owner of the place 
Turbo was £100.00! Women was selling it, it came off her ex-husbands navara, it was taken off and they found that something else was at fault and not the turbo!

when keys are in ignition and the door is open there is a horrible bleeping sound
also if i leave the keys, say on the seat and shut the door it has a nasty habit of locking the flipping doors??
the 2nd one is criminal in my eyes,i have had it happen 3 times and it is a royal pain
tried contacting nissan but it seems once you have bought off them they are not in the slightest bit interested,which i have noted

Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong on my truck, 2 clutches, new dual mass flywheel, new 5th gear assy, new central locking system, new turbo, new alternator, new starter motor, 2 batteries, rear half shafts, trip computer, air conditioning, 4wd gear box mode switches, new radiator, crank angle sensor, oil sensor, temp sensor, plus bearings, bushes and all sorts of crap, we fix it every weekend. in essence it is the biggest piece of crap and hindrance of my life and has cost me a dam fortune, i would get rid but i owe money on it, as soon as its paid, its gone.

tony, i can help on both your issues.
The first is a simple fix. there is a wire attached to the ignition barrell that is linked to the flap where the key goes in. when it senses this has opened, the bleeping starts if the door is open.
You can simply pull this wire off, after first taking the steering column cover off to get to it.the drawback in removing this wirs is that when you stop the truck and take the key out, the interior light will not automatically some on lie it does now. you would have to open the door, or manually turn it on so to speak (hope that makes sense.) I have done this on mine. I had an alarm for the tipper, but that got disconnected straight away!
The door locking thing is different. If the truck is locked, and you press the key fob to unlock, but do not get into the truck within 2 minutes, the truck will automatically lock itself again.
My mate left his window open, locked the truck and the alarm went off (wasp or something went in)he pressed the unlock button, but 2 minutes later it locked and the alarm went off again.
I cannot see though why you get out of the truck, leave the keys on the seat and then it locks itself. are you manually unlocking?
But is it a good idea to leave the keys in the truck?
the simples thing would be to hide your spare key somewhere on the outside of the vehicle. Cable tied to a chassis rail for example, so in an emergency, you can get in!

the wire thing i suppose i have got used to,but the key thing is a design fault and they wont admit or acknowledge it
we have been on jobs on private roads in private houses and i have my keys in my jacket, and left the jacket on the seat,gone and done some work only to come back and find the blooming thing locked itself
we have experimented with the window open and it does it all by itself?
the key on the chassis would be sticky explaining to the insurance if it got nicked
the bottom line is,it should not lock unless someone presses the fob

ford transit connects are good for getting a man and hand power tools around, but thats it 2 blokes at work drive them and have no issues
