I am currently looking at buying a Hiace as above with 217,000 miles on the clock, I'm a bit dubious due to the high mileage and just wondered what you folk think? Its drives okay gearbox seems fine, clutch seems fine, engine seems fine but the high mileage is bugging me. Cambelt has been replaced recently, so he says.

Should I buy £ 1150? 12 months mot 6 months tax seems a goer.

if you have doubts then you've already answered your question tbh. Personally I wouldn't go near it.

Too expensive, im not sure where you are but those vans are cheap near london if you are quick, lez has meant that this month there is a glut of old vans that trades need gone.

Gumtree should throw a 110k van for a grand.. 1400 would get a clean 100k transit on a 51 plate
