just look at the quality of the output material there steve.
its a win win!
you just need to set up tonne bags on forklifts and feed the conveyor to fill them
Sell them £30+vat time and add them to the slab orders as subbase.!

Cant wait to get started with it Dan. i was told it needs to be greased twice a day. £30 per ton would be bloody awesome. As long as i get £20 though i will be more than happy. We currently throw away best part of 20 tons a week, so based on what we save and what we make form selling it should be paid for itself within 6 months. the bloke wanted £14k for it but we haggled him down to £12K which we were pleased with because it is a proper bit of heavy duty kitdig dug dan wrote:just look at the quality of the output material there steve.

steve i think you got a bargain there. Not sure how many hours its done, but it looks in good condition, and if in 6 months its paid for, your quids in.

It all came about this year Rab. As the stone masonry element of our business grew we started producing horrendous amounts off waste. Had a real brush with the grim reaper when i went to collect the crusher. I was collecting a truck from Trafford Park and was then going to bolton to put the crusher on the new truck and bring it back down to the dirty south. There were 2 spare lorry wheel rims on the back of the truck which the truck supplier had pinched with the brick grab to secure them. When i got to bolton i had to raise the crane right up in the air so we could put the crusher on the truck. I picked the rims up and they seemed securely held so i stupidly raised the crane up in the are about 15 feet. There was some slings on the back of the truck which I needed to move so I jumped up and started gathering them up. I then heard a massive clang and both the wheel rims smashed on to the truck about 3 feet in front of me. re-inforced the lesson that being lazy and taking shortcuts can be disasterous

Slightly off topic maybe but back to work part time, in that 6 inch tumour removed - seems all cancer removed, chemo and radium over, very sore backside, but sounds like another 5 years of being around at least, so here's to more paving orders, and the possibility of a John Smiths extra smooth in the near future. A prosperous new year to you all out there, and be careful.

Friend who had been to tenerife a few times before booked us in to a place that he thought was in Playa de las americas but turned out it was 40 minute bus ride away in adeje. Still a good laugh though. Don't think I could stay there longer than a week since I don't drink.London Stone Paving wrote:lutonlagerlout wrote:good to hear you are alive and kicking will

Just hit a quiet spell, got lots of work priced, but looks like apart from filling potholes on a 200m road next week, ill have me feet up!!
Believe it or not ive just started a 3 month trial with "my builder", ive already got one job 14k, to start in 10 weeks! looking at another on monday in 200m indian sandstone plus walls and fences etc, getting loads of leads, im just going to see how it goes.
Ive been asking the people when i meet them what they think of my builder and the concept in general, they think its great, as there is no where else on the net where there are genuine references etc.
Whats everyone's thoughts on this?
