Got Mrs T a back brake cable for her bike so we can go for a bike ride boxing day. Also got a front basket so she can carry the turkey leftovers for our picnic :;): . I'm hoping for an inner tube for my bike. I'd sooner read a nice book than use those gadgety things, see them being used on the trains and don't like 'em but each to his own.

Took me a while to convert but these e-readers have there advantages.
Took 5 books on my last holiday and thats a fair bit of room taken up if you want to travel light, and the old mince pies aint what they used to be so being able to adjust the font size and back light is a big bonus.
Know what you mean though Sean about having, holding and keeping a book, another generation down the line and it will be a thing of the past.

sounds like the christmas spirit is alive and well in sean's house, what did you get Ruby for her birthday sean ? a dust cap :;):
joking aside ,we made a conscious decision not to send cards this year, giving £50 to the keech cottage instead (local children's hospice)
its been very awkward at times as some people revel in the card thing, but people i am close to i pick up the phone and speak to them etc why wait till xmas to make contact?
the kindle i dont really like the feel of but as flowjoe said its size and weight make it a massive advantage for travelling
I am reading a history of warfare by john keegan at the moment, it must weigh around a kilo,I wouldnt fancy giving ryanair a tenner for the honour of taking that book on my travels
I let you know how miss lout gets on with it

IKWYM sean, as usual mrs lout is getting a monkey in a card
I keep asking what she wants and she says "nothing"
but if i gave her nothing it would be Armageddon :;):
all i want is a laundry basket for my own use
fed up with stuff going walkies in amongst the daily 4 wardrobe changes of miss lout
that'll do me

Thought you were worldly wise Luton', surely you know when a woman tells you ''nothing'', she really means...... you'd better get me something,or i'll make your life hell. I really would be battered if i gave my wife money :;): :;):
We always do practical, i get my wife little things she has forgot to get herself, it shows i'm paying attention to the christmas hint build up. I actually did get her dust caps once, they where dice, a must have, they got nicked off the car after a week
have a nice Christmas everyone and remember, whatever you got for xmas, there is always to make it disappear :;):
