Anyone seen it? Just watching it now, grim 12 years following two feuding traveller families in Ireland and their bare knuckle fights.
Worth watching but can't decide about it

the thing that surprised me was the shock that they had these semi slaves under their wing
I was under the impression that it is a well known pikey tactic to employ illegals or undesirables , put them in poor by most standard accommodation and pay them peanuts
I know a fella that lives like that and it suits him
I said go and get a real job and rent a flat etc etc
and he said hes happy with room board and bills paid for and about £125 a week pocket money
its not right by any means, but most of the people in that camp would be living on the street or in prison otherwise
is it right that any of the big PLCs pay £6.75 P/H and expect someone to house ,feed and dress themselves?
life on minimum wage is nigh on impossible to live on ,yet millions have no choice

there is a big difference between getting a few quid a day plus found and sleeping in old horse boxes covered in shite. They are vulnerable adults and where being used as slave labour. Of course they will get used to it as a way of life and think it's ''normal.'' just because your an alki it doesn't mean you can be trod on like that.

Just watched it. 'I'll beat your fat baldy head in' was on of the more succinct quotes
The old fella how was doing the commentary at the start looked evil, he didnt have eyes just black holes
I didn't go with the video blokes comments on 'how bad it was' etc etc, its just the way travellers do things, they've been like that for years and a bit of 'bleeding heart' wont change that

we all know they use cheap labour, that's not the gripe, it's the way they were kept. I've been a '' bad boy'' in my life but have always respected those less fortunate than myself. When your treated cruelly, starved and beaten, any act of kindness is gratefully received ie, a slice of bread and drink of water. You grade your captors by how bad they treat you to how good they treat you. A slap rather than a heavy punch, or kick is appreciated.

We always seem to come back to the pikies. Its pikie central where we are in Middlesex. Last week 2 horse and carts came into the garden centre and were racing around the place. When the owner of the garden centre went and told them to clear off he was whipped with the horse whip. He grabbed the whip to protect himeslf and tried to pull it off the kid who was whipping him. Kid didn't let go and fell off the horse. Within half an hour there is a mob of pikies outside the garden centre looking for blood. The kids mother was at the front of the mob screaming about how her little cherub had been assaulted. Eventually the polcie turned up and Peter (garden centre owner) was arrested for assault (all he did was try to stop himself getting whiped on his own property).
Pikies are scum and nothing good will ever come of them. I would suggest that Vanessa Redgrave and all the other do gooder brigade go and buy property in Dale Farm and spend a bit of time around these scum, reckon she would change her tune very quickly when she awoke one morning to find a load of rubbish flight tipped at the bottom of her drive.

It wont change, any amount of protest wont do diddly, its just a part of life that was around when I was a kid, and probably will be around when Im old too.
They've always been above the law in a way , if not legally, in a 'in not part of your society' manner. The law cant make them pay a fine, they do jail time standing on their head.
So what do you do?
???
