Isn't it a nice feeling when, after putting in hours of work pen to paper etc and two site visits, numerous emails and explaining things, you get the official order for a decent sized job which is just up your street?

I've had a surfacing job bubbling along for 3/4 weeks and finally got the order yesterday, in face of stiff competition from other contractors...

Compare that to the feeling when you loose out on a job to, say, the tune of £300-400.....now that's gutting....and it's happened to me recently. Makes all that time and effort seem to be a complete waste. But you just know, whoever is doing the job has it screwed down to the last pound, there is no margin for any increased material amounts, labour etc etc

Surely on the invitation to tender letter they would indicate the extent of the works they want you to price?

Happy days Dave looks great and it set the morale up nicely for the weekend. That looks like a modest property.
Can't see it from my house
