It's a grey cab, 1990 with the still in use 5 stud axles, g reg with extra dig etc. All usual 3cx stuff 1st time starter turbo 4x4 so think going to stick it on eBay for £8k and see what it makes. They're making good money on eBay.

Any reason why you don't use an adjustable bottom hinge on the gate? when the gate drops you can get it back on the level then

its limestone dust we blinded the shit crusher run the builders had left with it and compacted, hes pouring tea for the record both non smokers
guy got home called me and spent 10 mins bitching and moaning how he hated the finish of the easy joint stuff and it looked cheap etc etc.... hes picked the colour etc off the flyer so the long oand short of it, spent 2 days chipping £300 of easyjoint out with hammer and screw driver then another 2 days re jointing it with 4:1 sand and cement gunned in, those bloody little sets were a night mare to chip out.
bloody customers haha all sorted now and hes over the moon elated infact, ill be double checking from now on on which jointing. 4:1 gunned in worked well with right mix. doing a gravel drive and sett edger right now

Lads at builders merchant said today that easyjoint is the same as romex AND gftk (this would mean that these two are the same thing). Can someone tell me if this is correct, or as I suspect, that they are blowing smoke up my arse. It's a lot cheaper for a start.
I used it once and wasn't very impressed. Can't get used to the rough surface of it either. Prefer a polish to the joint.

Easijoint is the same as romex and gtfk. Same priniciples and the same finish.
I'm not sure that it is that much cheaper than Romex. Easijoint is supplied in 12.5kg tubs and Romes comes in 15kg tubs, so price is very similar really.
You can trowel finish the Romex and Easijoint if you are loooking for a smoother finish but it goes against the products main USP which is to sweep in and walk away.
I would choose easipoint over the sweep in's because I think it gives a better finish, but the sweep in's get the job done very quickly and are generally very strong and durable (LLL might have something to say about that)

I understand your reasons for doing this Tony but does it not defeat the main point of the product if you have to finish it with a trowel?lutonlagerlout wrote:when using polymerics i have always pushed the compound in with a jointing iron to ensure ALL of the joint is full
I agree with you btw easipoint is the future.
