I must agree. I have absolutely the same opinion. Most advice you find is via manufacturers objectives which is to to promote their own product or supply chain, Tony has given such objective and honest discussion on any subject that it is obvious that he should be rewarded for this. The question is how?

Yep - this is v3. I spent virtually my entire holiday weekend getting it finished, finally giving up at 2am this morning.
There's still a few bugs, mostly to do with the layout, but they won't interfere with the actual working of the Brew Cabin and I can tackle them as and when I get the time.
Apart from the re-vamped layout, the most obvious improvement should be the permanent (touch chipboard) re-appearance of long lost threads from v2.

Woo...new and sparkly and *very* fast...
Only problem is the new board has demoted me from a barrow pusher back to being an apprentice again. Guess I'll have to bring in a tray of cakes to leave in the cabin next to the kettle, so I can be be promoted again.

Well I've only just joined
...and apart from not been given a password - which I had the savvy to whinge about so it got sorted ...and immediately changed it to a memorable one - got the site added to my favorites...
...and then because I left it a few days till I posted - clicked on favorites...was redirected -then my memorable password didn't work ...so went back to e.mail messages to get the old unmemorable password ...and thought I'd better get a post in...or else I'd never get on here
I've had warmer welcomes

The non-appearance of the password was due to a one-ff problem on Thursday with the sendmail facility at the web hosting company, which affected not just this site, but every other site with the same hosting company. It's been fixed now, allegedly.
The cookie log-in thing is something that's been bugging me over the past week, since this version went live. I've managed to fix it for moderators and administrators (that's me) but I can't find the code line that extends the 'live' period for mere mortals. I've asked for help from the tech s'port guys behind Ikonboard, and hope to have that fixed this weekend.
