went to london today with lil miss lout to replace a fruitbowl I bought in camden 15 years ago
anyway as 7 yr olds do she hijacked the trip and exclaimed she had never seen "big ben" lots of tube closures and some sky ride thing going on so it took us 4 tubes and an hour to get to westminster from st.pancras
of course once at big ben she spotted"the london eye" and guess what she has never been on that either
30 minutes and £27.50 later we were gazing helplessly from the giant ferris wheel, shouts in 5 different languages of "look at that!" reverberated around our *pod*
have to say it was worth a trip and i fancy doing it at night some time
the 4d experience (which is part of your ticket) was also very very good
from the minute i entered the ticket office to getting on the eye was only about 10 minutes and everything was professional
off we trotted then across hungerford bridge and picked up the northern line to camden, which was shop after shop selling leather jackets metre high boots and scabby looking oiks offering to tattoo and pierce any part of you for amounts of money which suggested hygiene must be very cheap?
anyway it beat sitting in the pub watching football all afternoon (there was none on===> see how sneaky i am?)
highly recommend the eye
cheers LLL

I'm a telecom engineer, been doing it since I left school 36 years ago!!!
When I first started it was all electro-mechanical and very much hands on but now it's all electronic and I don't get to use tools much.
i think that's why I like diy, try to be creative with my hands.
Used to visit the Tower of London fairly regularly to maintain their phone system.
Used to be in and out as quick as possible but never bothered to stay long enough to see the crown jewels!
