Concrete company fined - Trading standards prosucute company

A DIY guy was pouring 5 cubic metres of wet concrete for a swimming pool and because information about the dangers of wet concrete was only provided after the delivery was made the company was fined £3000 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £3,483.

the consumer suffered severe burns to the legs, requiring skin grafts

trying to help out a guy ,he burns his own legs through incompetence and they get fined
next thing concrete companies wont do DIY noobs
then its back to the shovel and the banker board
a mate of mine couldnt work out why his self built fence was moving
till i explained that al in ballast has no cement content

what next ,warnings on tegulas saying "please do not play football with these"

not only does landscape juice have women members,they also have pictures of said women <danger>

I have come across the site before but my interest in landscaping per se is minimal,i like trees and i like veg but thats it

for anyone to order and lay 5 cubic metres of concrete for a swimming pool is not quite a DIY job, in fact its not quite the average house if you have space for a swimming pool in your back garden on inside what ever the situation was

DIY in my eyes is fixing a curtain rail, fix a shelf, hanging a mirror, going down to the local B & Q to choose the colour you want to paint the lounge and going home and starting painting the same weekend, tiling the bathroom etc etc and watching the video at the end of the isle in B & Q on how to do it all

what's next......the concrete wagon pulls up outside your house and you spend 10 minutes watching a video on how to lay concrete before the driver starts the pour !!

and a second video on what protective clothing to wear whilst doing the pour, seeing as you have non having to nip off to the local builders merchants to purchase and in between time the concrete has started to set

I don't care what anyone says concreting a swimming pool is not a DIY job

That concrete company is my local company, i use them all the time, that court claim is a one side backdoor claim from the DIY saturday concreter.
I wont say to much hear as they are good friends of mine,but the claimant did it via the trading standards route cost him nothing, but has now opened up for a personal claim from the buisness,through him not asking questions and crawling around in wet crete for 2 hours MSH

I bet he was wearing slippers or trainer and shorts too

the concrete company is friends and buisness, I was told from the driver who went to court he was wearing trousers and was soaked through with wet concrete,injustice to the company due to diy- ers not getting any help MSH

so he was leveling the concrete on his own ?
