The largest pack of pikeys I have ever seen have set up camp in my home town, 90% of the vans are lettered up as block pavers. My local builder’s merchant told me this morning that they are refusing to sell them any paving materials, as it will take away local work for there regular customers. That’s not some thing I would have expected from large nation wide builders merchant to do, but I guess the next one up the road will sell them what they want until the council moves them on.

trading standards are hounding them down here
if they cant get them for bodged work there are a multitude of bureaucratic ways to get them off the road
apparently its illegal to have your van/truck plastered with "motorway maintenance" stickers and lights, unless you do just that
and of course income tax
insurance
etc etc

My sisters boyfriend recently had a bad experience with some Pikies up in Crewe where he lives.
Long & short is that he was selling a van (which unfortunately will act as a magnet to pikies) and someone who was seemingly respectable gave him a deposit to hold the vehicle. When this guy came to complete the deal he arrived with a few pikies who then wanted to re-negotiate the price. Eventually Rob agreed to reduce the price by a few hundred quid to get rid of all these scumbags.
These people are 1000% untrustworthy, best to avoid them like the plauge because they are always looking for an edge, any edge.
Our business is based next to J14 of the M25. Anyone who knows this area will know that it is Pikey central (unfortunately we didn't when we set our business up here)
My dads got a good solution but I am not sure it would be appropriate airing it on a family website like this!

jeez that is indeed pikey central round heathrow and bucks
we were working today and a transit tipper pulled up
plastered with photos of blockpaving tarmac etc
direct drives or something
anyway the guy started asking me where the tarmac plant was
I couldnt help but laugh as he had a scouse accent
i said to my mate" that has to be the worst genetic mix ever for thieving,a scouse pikey"
as it happened i directed him he said thanks and off he went
so maybe he was just lost......

Thats is you've got me started on Pikies!
Five years ago i knew nothing of these scumbags apart from the movie, Snatch!
However after working in Stanwell Moor for five years I could go on mastermind with Pikies as my specialist subject.
I was driving through Wraysbury about six months ago looking for land to rent and I saw a little turnoff which looked interesting. So I turned down it and drove down this road for about a 1/4 mile. There was thick bushes and vegetation both sides of the road and no real clue of what lay ahead. All was to be revealed!!!
I came around a bend and it just opened out into what could have been a typical village square. Green area in the centre and a big square of houses bordering the green. Only problem was it was a pikey village and the house were those half house half caravan things. Every single plot was bordered by metal railings and block paved with all the colours of the rainbow. There was a transit van and a miny digger on every driveway.
I've never performed a U turn so quickly in my life and it was Colin Mcray eat your heart out going back down that lane.
scary!!!!

ahhh "do as you likeys"
in my past life i was a bailiff, not a job im proud to admit but i had my reasons (4 kids to feed) i remember always having to serve liability warrants on pikey camps, i can tell you that those people are the total armpit of this country, will steal from you at the slightest chance and they can ALL be tarred with the same brush, they grow up being taught that its ok to mug people off, steal and bodge to make a quid.
we shouldnt confuse them with showman though, who in my experience live in the same way, but can be trusted as much as average joe.
i'd also add that as a transit tipper driver and the owner of a 6 berth twin wheel caravan...... i see the way pikeys get treated in this country and i can tell you its harrowing, dirty looks at every corner, people shouting from vehicles and they get judged instantly on sight. sadly the tippers are the best vehicle for the range of work we do.
