i find the stihl with water a major mess
I know its hse and that but its easier to sweep up dust than the slurry that gets everywhere from dust plus water
respirator FTW

better the gooey mess on the ground, than a gooey mess in your lungs. You can always make a bund and cut on a pallet with a rip of ply to cut on :;):

theres only one problem .dont think all the tourists and shoppers(west end of london highways work eg regent street ,oxford street, shaftesbury avenue, whitehall) would appreciate the dust and our boss most certainly doesnt .as we only lay york stone ,its easier to cut by pitcher than make so much mess :( with the saw and water.we are constantly washing down .

its all very well on big jobs cutting on pallets etc,but on a lot of domestic drives there isnt anywhere suitable to cut.
splitter is ok but a little rough for the top notch jobs ,and that slurry seems to get everywhere
i did a drive in argent recently with water cutting, and some of the slurry found its way on to the drive ,it was a holy moly getting it off
generally speaking the drive is the last job so there isnt anywhere you can cut out of the way :(
we picked up an 80m2 job at a busy car showroom today, they have over 100 brand spanking beemers sitting out front, dont think we will be using the grinder there
cheers LLL
