Bit pissed off round here - can't we just bung the billions into our existing infrastructure? Nationalise the train system back?

To me the whole thing is pointless,why worry about 10 minutes of a rail journey thats going to cost 20 billion quid when you can do the journey for a 1/3 the price in 1/10 the time on chav airlines?
