For the contract I used a commercial lawyer in Manchester. She was chasing some impecunious flakey developer for me when the conversation strayed onto the subject of flakey residential customers, and she suggested the standard form of contract.

As I said, you only need it to work once and it's paid for itself.

Thanks Tony, your a Gent. Did you enjoy Ecobuild, I thought iswas at least a very interesting show, maybe not totally relevant to Pavers etc but I thought it seemed well attended and worth the effort, unlike most of the crap I went to last year. There was one product i really had a good nose at, but have forgotten what it's called, It was on the top floor section and the stand had mainly Grounworks products on, one of which was a re-taining webbing system, come from the military for building temporary road ways, but also usefull for gravel drives, access on soft grounds, retaining wall systems, numerous other uses. Shame I can't find the f@%$'n brochure

we used this before Xmas on a driveway ,that was on top of built up ground 1200 deep
you need a stihl saw to cut it and it seems as strong as old boots

that sounds about right, I think the company mainly deal in Groundworks products, they were displaying a drainage channel with a built in polution removing aggregate, for use round car parks etc and a re-cycled "Grass" grid system. Sales rep said he was going to get back to me once the show was over, so if he does I'll post some details.

For Marshalls Register members reading this thread - remember there is a template contract document that can be downloaded from the Register Extranet, just go to stationery section and there is PDF available. Might save you a few quid!
