No kerbs Giles, otherwise it would look too regimental - it's only a rural cycleway, laid along old railway lines.
No, we didn't do any of the groundworks, just subbed in to lay the stone and tar.
The wiggly bits you see are where the dumpers crossed over, one put itself onto the verge while the other passed by - the only way to get a decent supply in.

Been ticking over doing the odd fence job here and there. just completed a nice landscape. Pond, pergola, rasied beds and patio are. Started 4th jan, did two days and got stopped for the snow.!
Luckily its a distant relative, so they were not fussy when i turned up to finish. Had £1500 of building materials sat there in the snow, waiting to be paid for.
Did a four day job last week, which was booked in last year, and my mate has boked me for a few jobs.
I guess i am ok for work till middle of march at the moment, which i no is a godsend. Most people are complaining.
one "ex" colleague of mine reckons he can't even afford to put diesel in his pick up, yet he finds the money for the pub and fags each day. Funny that

"a satisfied customer? we should have them stuffed!"
its not a sustrans job is it dave?
they seem to be colonising old railway tracks round here and turning them into psychopaths
I'm not much of a cyclist these days (need a doner kebab card to risk the roads round here)
but some of the cycle routes they have opened up are car free and I have to say it a worthwhile thing

I don't know Tony, but I expect it a Sustrans Project.
Got 200t of black down today in between the hail/sleet showers. Hopefully finish on Thursday. Couple of weeks of our own work then onto site#2 and start all over again.

Still going on these cycleways - put 2500t of MOT and 500t of tar through the machine on this job - inbetween 4 other machine hire jobs.
Wouldn't mind so much if the weather was nice and sunny but this cold weather/snow/rain is pissing me right off. Not physically moving about much makes for a very cold Dave.........

Don't complain m8, there are lads out there would kill for that job. More cycle routes is what i say. be out today cycling for the first time in ages, owing to my back wheel being nicked. Halfords wanted over £30 to put me a new one on, just labour.
build a little insulated cab on it with a small coffee machine haha all the lads be dead jealous, i watch deadliest catch and one of the boats as a 80 degree sauna on deck for warming the lads up haha.
just pricing a large extension groundworks envelope is over inch thick with spec's and drawings.
