i like the fact that here there has never been a flame war in the purest usenet sense
myself ,dave and msh have never had to delete anything other than spam which is remarkable, when i think of the abuse that i see going on elsewhere
whenever i see flaming going on at other locations , i think
"its the internet, its where fat kids get to act tough :) "

Why change a good thing...... To have a private area could be a bit off putting to a non regular visitor. This is a very open and honest site so i feel that there would be no need for this. Emails & PM's were invented for this type stuff.

Just my opinion irish (colm)

i think mick smells of pooh.............................. haha :p :D

no flame wars like i say just an idea where we could discuss stuff and share that would be mutually beneficial to the regulars of the cabin that keep it ticking over, hence why not contractors only but just regulars that keep the cabin alive and help so many people out.

i'm homeless as off 29th sold mine and new one lacking 2 weeks behind. parents farm is where you want it haha, they've got a massive bbq

on a side note regarding bbq we had a do at our club on sat for manager of arctic monkeys 50th, there is a Chilean restaurant that does outside catering bbq's and you have never seen so much meat in your life. it cost him 15 a head but wow i elected myself responsible for it haha. 10 racks of pork ribs, 4 hole fillets of pork, 4 rumps or silver sides of beef as big as footballs and spicy chorizo, veggy kebabs etc was so good i was in heaven.

you may have guest i'm a fully signed up carnivore haha

to be honest i like sitting down and reading the posts, the craig etc. if you lads want your own area i wouldn't lose any sleep over it, but more importantly Giles dose your bar stock tennents and glenfiddich as we`ll be having none of that fosters or bells nonsense and while i`m at it, hope the sausage is flat, dont want any of that link nonsense as they never fill the roll. ???

you mean slice rab?
mmmm
has to be Guinness as well Giles,a peerless drink
maybe Giles could have a specially padded forum all to himself
most of the regular posters on here do work that only slightly overlaps with others and as we all know the price of Type 1 can vary by 300% by volume and location
not really a great deal to compare IYKWIM

i talked to myself enough dont need my own forum for that haha, i forgot we have Guinness draft and original and new thing is cardboard kegs of local kelham island bitter very nice bitter haha. Guinness aint the same over here we go to dublin for the 6 nations game and drink in munkstown rugby club dad and pals been doing it last 20 odd years or more proper weekend on the black gold. in munkstown they have like 15 pints lined up on the bar at various levels of pour.

i say it was more like advertising and planning application chasing etc helpful hints and tips but i'm not for exclusivity i'm a relative new comer to the brew cabin

I'll let this discussion run for a while before deciding whether we want a private area in the new Brew Cabin. Personally, I think there are pros and cons but I have no great desire to create a forum that would give the impression of a clique or a secret society.

The proto-New Brew Cabin does have a private forum, but only to test the workings of the system, not as a permanent fixture. I'll see what the feeling is over the next few weeks before deciding what to do.

Incidentally, the New Brew Cabin will be able to run poll thingies, so we would be able to vote, let the users' voice be heard, and then I'll do what I want regardless, just like a proper politician! :p

so dose this now mean we have to pay your mortgage as well as furnish the house and landscape the garden (we could most likely get a deal on this), as well as pay for your nights out. lol ???

Thank god for that I thought you were about to introduce proportional representation :p Much prefer good old fashioned dictatorship
