as i sat here typing in my study,i noticed a lot of saabs going by.then i thought"christ ,theres loads of 'em?"
apparently today is worldwide save our saabs day
SOS
the funny thing is the last 3 motors i have had have been saabs, and stockwood discovery centre is a 100yd walk from my front door and i knew nothing about it
i preferred the older pre GM ones to TBH
had a saab turbo 900,quality car ,built like a tank,then a 9-5 aero flying machine,now a convertible <cough-cough birds car>
all lovely cars to drive and reassuringly expensive for spare parts

ditto for me too :p
once you have had a BMW its had to get anything else for quality, reliability and comfort - but I must add it does come at a price, but in my opinion its well worth it

mums got the automatic long wheelbase shogun she hates it, plastic fantastic she calls it. she's had 4x4 last 30 years when we were at school she had 110 county haha. her last land cruiser amazon was much better.DNgroundworks wrote:I tried to buy a BMW 328 cc sport but couldnt get insured, now i wouldnt mind a short wheel base shogun commercial, drove one the other week, a mate of mine owns a mitsubishi dealership, go like sh*t of a shovel!! and tows like a train! Think these are tax deductable aswell?
not driven the short wheelbase one, but mums was shocking in the snow just gone and doesn't tow anywhere near as good as the toyota or out defender.
dad got her a v10 touraeg but being a greenpiece member she refused to drive it after one week getting 14mpg plus our irish wolfhound wouldn't fit in it very well.
328 haha yeah for young lad nightmare to insure,

my mate imports American spec high performance cars for a living, anyway he lent me a 3 yr old bmw M5
lovely car mind but 500BHP
you touch the accelerator and your doing a ton
you cant pass a petrol station
it just felt too fast for me,with him driving we did 165mph on a "special test track" my stomach was in my mouth
X5 s very nice motors,no disrespect mick but down our way its mainly a footballer's wife type car
you rarely see them without a personalised registration and a baby on board sticker in the back
I think i mentioned it before but cars don't do it for me,so if i had a dream world it would be one of those unimog thingys for work and for leisure ,till then its the cabstar and a 7 yr old convertible
RIP saab

I wouldn't buy a brand spanker
throwing money down the drain
if you have the dough then 18 month old gets you very very nice cars for 40% less
my auld fella has moved on to mercs of late (personalised plate cough cough)
i give him a license with cars as he had some truly awful cars when i was a kid
viva hb (which caught light and blew up after he tried to fit a fuel pump)
cortina mk3 (possibly the rustiest car ever)
austin maxi (no comment)
talbot avenger estate (cough cough)
vauxhall carlton 2.2 cdi (the lads reckoned cdi meant c***ish driver inside :;): )
and then finally on to mercedes
i think hes earned it the hard way dont you?
cheers LLL
