Advice on new driveway please!

Hi,
I hope I am posting in the right place....
Based in Sheffield, I have a driveway, which runs alongside the house and appears to need repairing/replacing. The surface seemes to have been tarmac at one stage but now the stones are loose which means they are being brought into the house etc...
The driveway has a slight upward slope before flattening out at the top. In total, it fits (approximately) 2.5 cars but more detailed measurements are available on request!
Having scoured the internet I cannot find any 'recommended' companies who could help and wondered if anyone here might be able to point me in the right direction?
Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Hi,
Thanks for all the responses - I do have some pictures and will try to post them directly.
I am not planning to do the work myself but am looking for a reliable contractor.
Sorry for the delay in replying - I mistakenly thought I had enabled email notifications (I have done now so will hopefully be able to reply sooner).

i missed this, i live in sheffield but our yard is on other side of the peaks, we do big jobs over this way but not little jobs sorry to much hassle moving plant etc, and normally sub out any blacktop work to our preferred surfacing crew.
its one of those things that has to be done right, you only get one hit. don't mind laying base with a excavator and grading but for drives experienced surfacing crews are the way to go.
if you want me to have a look if i've got time i can pop rd.
