Talking of moss (sorry to go off topic Rab) but since the summer large areas of my lawn have turned into bright green moss.
I'm not after a show lawn, the kids play on it and I don't mind a few weeds but what's the best way to deal with moss and the best time of the year to deal with it.

kiln dried sand is what you can use not to much and soon as it starts sprouting you will see it going brown loose it of with fine rake and put down more grass seed that will do the job ps you dont need lots try a little bit at a time :p :;): :;):

i`ll stick 14 on ebay and keep the rest for when we clean the drive, 4 bags. it was one of these things, asked the agent on a job for some kds & cement, bring in the van tomorrow he said. only needed 5 of each, jumped in the van that night 50 bags of sand 33 cement (his exact words, were only going to skip the lot, need more help yourself). managed to get rid of most of it, did`nt pay for it so would rather give someone a turn. :D

PS, from whats on the news you heathens (your description not mine) need that salt more than us Flow. lol :D
