A good idea, snow plough thing

just had to go out into a small village in the peak district to pick up a perscription for a friends mum who's ill as i'm the only one they know with a 4x4 and a knowledge of to drive one off road haha. so got to the surgery ok fair bit of snow but nothing major.

there was a lad i know from a local plant hire company with a volvo backhoe clearing the doctors yard. he had an old tractor tyre cut in half trapped in the 4 in 1 bucket so it stuck down about 4 inches and using that to plough the block paved yard thought it was a right good idea, said they use old rubber tracks as well.

he let me have a go nice machine really smooth and comfortable.

still snowing up here, haha

I've seen similar on farms, but used for Buck raking and clearing the yards, usually attached to the ancient massey or fordson

Does it not leave rubbery skid marks all over the shop?

Ahhhhhh like a yard scraper type affair? Ah, that's a good idea. Should work a treat.

i have seen half tyres used still in there round shape used on frames for yard scrapers, but never before seen one clamped in a 4 in 1. dave no marks maybe as the rubber is cold?
