Drove home Thursday 3 hours, by the time i had eaten, showered had a chat with my wife it was early morning before got to sleep. Got up Friday to see wife off to work. Went up the local shopping centre got the paper, betting slips and into the cafe for a quiet breakfast and pick a few horses. there is a big, full wall mirror opposite and a woman was sitting with her back to me with what i now know was her son and 2 other ghouls with him. He was giving his mom a right volley. She was crying. I took no notice as you do but kept an eye open, looking in the mirror at them. She was'nt a bad looking bird either. Anyway she happened to look at the same time, so we had eye contact, just a second and the sublimable messages flashed across. Never seen the woman before. The son clocked it and next thing he was at my table. ''It's yo innit meet?'' ''It's me innit what, meet?'' I said. ( presume meet means mate? ) ''Yo kept that slag out all night.'' No i said. '' But if she ain't doing anyfink tonight i'm up for it.'' ''Roight'' he said, with arms open and fists clenched , ''oim gunna rip yous open, meet.'' ( two mistakes, no guard and warning me. ) It's been years since i've heard the sound of breaking bone followed by the sound of cutlery, plates and screaming women. Lets just say he wont be snorting the white stuff again. Him and the other two goons lost their street cred to a 57 year old. Seen a couple of his pals later and they came over touched knuckles and said, ''respect bro, yous the man bro.'' Does that mean i have to buy an hoodie and hang out?

The hoodie probably knew it wasn't in his best interests to get the law involved! Pasers-by probably would applaud his actions!
