Worth every penny IMO. It may not directly get you work because it's hard to note a number when you're on the move but it raises your profile and looks very smart and professional. Potential clients will remember you when they look up the yellow pages etc. Don't do your van up like a Gypsy though keep it smart and simple with both phone numbers not just a mobile. I can get my Iveco's done very well for £400 thats only £100 per year over 4 years. It's a no brainer.
Can't see it from my house

A friend of mine has magnetic signs that he puts on his avn and his son's van (his son does not work for him so has to remove them from time to time like when he goes to his head office). You can not really tell they are magnetic so theft is not a problem. They are high quality. Look good. Can easily be moved from car to car. Might be suitable. I think signwriting is sensible - if you do a good job and keep your sites tidy I think it can bring in business. Its always a hastle to sort out job signs on jobs but your vans will always be rocking up to your jobs so can do this.

just ordered new signwriting for the new cabstar when it arrives. new colour logo on both front doors, crusher hire and phone numbers on rear doors, and garden services on front and back. £145.
Signwriting makes you look a bit more professional, and it gets you seen in an area and noticed

Every item of plant should be signwritten, excavators, skidsteers etc - I find it adds to the professional image and you just don't know who is scribbling down our number when you pull away from that last job you've done.
