Just a quick heads up to anyone in the Midlands (or anyone else) who is approached by Midlands Construction. (orange and white van). AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Currently "laying" a tarmac driveway in my road and so far I haven't seen them do a thing right.

Hi LLL,

If you require picture evidence of them laying tarmac 20mm thick onto badly compacted crushed brick using a whacker plate I will supply. :)

Ive never laid tarmac, but can tell that's a rough job! on the first pic you can clearly see a huge puddle on the freshly finished surface, right next to the gully of all places! that's never a good sign of quality workmanship.

That is a rough job to say the least,as "LLL" say's it's not right to post, but it gives others a fair warning and the piccy's prove it
I vote we should leave it "on file " as the boys in blue would say

Well, as far as I'm aware something can only be libelous if it is false.

and in that vain...

Could a Moderator please change the thread title, I've missed the S off the end of Midlands Construction.

Thanks.

You've also missed the 'hit' off the end of it.

almost certainly pikeys, they love that "xxxxxxxxx division" on their motors and also the "unit xx" is another spurious claim
I feel for the homeowner but you have to question why they would let this carry on?

Quite.

But I don't envy the man who has to tell 6 pikeys they aint getting their wonga after two days "work" (and I use the term loosely).

I don't know the guy so it's difficult to go and say anything to the effect of "you do know this is an abortion right?"
