Biker looses life after 170mph blast....

A motorcyclist chased and filmed his best friend at speeds of over 170mph before he was killed in a road accident in Cornwall, a court heard....

Terribly sad video, coz you know what is going to happen.

Bikes at speed always scare me.

The innocent drivers involved could be any one of us - it's a case of wrong place, wrong time.

The vision of that accident would be with you for life. Terrible thing to live with.

Video's like this annoy the crap out of me.
People that video them self's going mental speeds like that, risk every body's lives doing what they do.
What if that thick biker made those innocent people crash and perhaps killed those people.

I have NO sympathy at all for the biker, I mean, what the hell is the point of doing that on busy public road.
Go to a track day to get your kicks.
I am into off roading with Land Rovers and that's what I always do.

Im sure if you got rid of cameras (speed) there would still be this element of road users who, against al the best advise, still travel at incredible speed.
Its a fact of life, always has been always will.
The dozy client who pulled out should be done for manslaughter IMHO, didn't check mirrors just yanked on the steering wheel straight after the first flash of indicator, and just after an island on a single lane. Tit

Unbelievably stupid and calous way to behave on the raods. Also don't understand how that car thought he could overtake with oncoming traffic unless he was trying to block the bike or something. We're all guilty of speeding now and again but that was insane.

Doing a ton on my old Thunderbird was an acheivement - hang on for dear life..... straight run between Rickmansworth & the Denham roundabout - there was virtually no traffic on the roads in those days.
I disagree with HP - no sympathy for those middle-aged bikers - Last year some f**kwit biker came over the brow of the hill, and entered my mate's Mini, via the passenger door, as Gregor was turning right. The old bill guesstimated the biker's speed at well over 90mph. Gregor died instantly - it took a week for the young biker to die in Wycombe General.

sadly for every dozy biker ,there are 10 responsible ones who die anyway because of car drivers

my mate harvey was pulling onto the M1 jct 10 slip road last year at 6.30 AM on a sunday morning
the slip road is about 800 M long dual carriageway
anyway the only vehicle ( a car) other than harvey, switched lanes without looking and smashed him into the central reservation, his femur went through his pelvis and he still doesnt walk good now.

my old boss used to say to me "get a bit of metal round you boy" and i think i know now what he meant, near enough all the bikers i know have had near death accidents or know ppl who died

Its a sad thing when someone dies, but if you turn right into the path of an on coming vehicle (no matter how fast he may be going) you will find its your fault.
I know through experience, some bint shot the lights at a box junction doing 50+, lights on amber .My insurance said I should admit liability for it. Full comp, so it didn't cost too much.

You're right, of course about the right of way.
It's a horrible piece of road. A small by-pass round a village.
There are 2 or 3 fatal accidents on it every year. They're mostly at around 7.30ish in the morning, with people really hammering it - late for work.

When we were young and daft my mates dad owned (still dose) the recovery service used by the police in central Scotland. We used to get our boy racer cars fixed there, mine was a Fiat Strada. The number of times he had bikes in the yard was scary, one guy lost his head, found in the helmet 200m away, fell off went under a car etc. He used to joke that bikes payed for the holiday home in Cyprus. 1 per week. If my kid ever buy one I`ll burn it.

Here I am worrying about everything from sub grades to pointing and then you take a step backwards and put things into perspective.
Thank feck my 19 year old son isn't into motor bikes. I usually get the hump when he's gone out with his mates to all hours and then rings up expecting me to pick him up.
But if he was out on bikes I'd be sh1tting myself everytime the phone rang

dunno if you know the jct between borne end and berko suggers,i had a bad one there 16 years ago,you have to pull out on a blind bend and cars come around it at 60 +
