Made me cringe just, the eejit with a chainsaw up a tree, unsecured, and pulling the saw toward him.

Saw looks blunt as owt as well.

what was that snippet about permeable paving? load of tosh if you ask me??

as for the 4 guys involved
Ariel man was a criminal

chainsaw was incompetent ,but not in a malicious way (he did find the name in the end and his price wasnt a rip off per se)

roof sh**e was hard sell, and i dont care how good their product is,why would you want to seal rooftiles?

and as for fast eddy,i may be wrong but he looked and sounded like a pikey to me,exactly the same kind of spiel they always use

i felt marginally sorry for the tree surgeon, that tree looked rotten as a peach to me

and at last they have an expert quoting real prices :) about £450 for the repairs he spoke of seemed in the right ballpark

I saw this program too, and being in the trade of patio/driveway restoration, it was of particular relevance.

Now can you tell me how this patio cleaning bloke sleeps at night?? Probably very well with a fat belly full of fish and chips from the ritz!!

Absolutley shocking.... But having said that, thee are a few like that around my area. They usually undercut our prices, get the job, ruin the drive and then the customer comes back to us to fix the problem!!

There was one guy, i havent a clue what sort of system he used, but his pressure washer cut into this customers decking so bad, it ruined it completely!! The customer contacted us and we advised that the decking was beyond repair and the deck boards were replaced... at massive cost!!!

That was a good show last night surely some of the things that were shown were technically a crime and as such could lead to prosecution. It would be a good additional feature to see people get collared by the law or at least the taxman or trading standards.

was a good program, I'm thinking we are all gonna be talking about permeable paving to our customers now though , thing is they have seen Matt tell every 1 its an offence if its not permeable they will believe him

Have to agree it was a good 40mins of TV, its that 20mins of pi%%ing around on a motorbike or dressing up as a bush that puts me off.

its the patronising weasly tone they use that annoys me,it devalues the hard work that trading standards do, the ariel man and the jetwasher/tarmaccer were out and out thieves ,but the other 2 although being incompetent ,i dont think set out with malice aforethought
IMHO

My brother has been a tree surgeon for years. He does'nt climb so much now. his job is to go round London logging all the trees and access what work needs doing to them, type of tree, height etc: Then he files it all on a computer for any work that needs doing.
