Done a job today, 155m2 of two-coat work - everything went like clockwork, the quarry 'performed', we had hot gear on time and the weather was great! No wind (nasty stuff for tarmac) and really sunny. Meant I could relax a bit on the roller as it stayed too hot to roll for a good while.
No material wastage either! It's always nice to see those last barrowfulls coming off the wagon with a metre or two to go!
Believe it or not, there's 31 tons of gear in here, laid by hand and we were home by 2pm.
Isn't it nice when a job goes well and to plan?

On the same site, this is some Marshalls Calder Brown cobbled setts that we laid a couple of years ago, suits the development well I think. Love the cider press as a feature!

The image doesn't really do them justice Tony. The colours aren't quite right in the picture. I quite like them; the appearance compliments the buildings around them etc.lutonlagerlout wrote:nice work dave, although to me the calder brown look a bit fake

Exmouth 3mm gritsand was brushed into the joints - works well and looks good, olde-worlde type of paving.
