I'll bet those are all rubber mauls, Mark, and not the superb rubber-n-fibre mauls like wot I've got and have had since I started serving me time back in 1977. You just can't get the rubber-n-fibre type any longer, and believe me, I've tried!

The best lead I had was a manufacturer in Germany, so I had a chum out there who happens to be in the paving game and speaks the lingo get in touch with them, but even they are making only the so-called composite rubber mauls, claiming there is no demand for the older fibre-reinforced type.

I am asked about these mauls at least twice a month, so I made an offer to the company to manufacture 250 for me and I would sell them in Britain and Ireland. When I did the sums, it would have worked out at just over 200 quid a piece, so I told them to forget it. :(
