Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

What are the limitations for variance in height on neighbouring slabs when installed as a paved area, i am receiving conflicting information on this. ???

anything over 5mm constitutes a trip hazard,depends on the flags obviously but if you are laying smooth flags the edges want to be more or less < 2mm flush
with some indian stone 5 mm is more like it due to the riven nature of the stone

BS7533:4 Table B2 states the the "difference in levels at the joint of adjacent paving units" should not exceed 2mm, except when laying riven units.
