This might sound a silly question, but what is the use of the stone spreader? (shame the machine driver couldnt manage the underwear )

lol great vid

stone spreaders/slingers can place aggregate or soils in hard to reach areas saving double handling , a good operator can level an area of sub base 90 sq m2 at 100mm thick in about 15mins with the help of one man and a shovel.
check out other videos on you tube they will give you a good idea what the benefits are !

the spreader will be on the road next week and i will post more vids

How does it cope with the stone and fines in type 1 does it tend to separate them mid air if fired over a distance ?

Also out of interest what would be the cost of say 30m2 of type 1 delivered in this method ?

hi edgecaft,

There is little separation at all.

In full loads of 17.5 tonne Mot 1 would work out at around £20 per tonne plus vat.

5 tonne would be £225.00 plus vat

If you are local to us and would like to try us out give us a call and we will work out a good price for you.
