Dear Chancellor

Yesterday it rained. The impact on the micro-economy of my business is that while I paid for staff for the half the day, the income was zero and the opportunity cost compounds the effect to create a significant loss. Given the associated reduction in fluidity, my share value dropped sharply in overnight arguments with her indoors.

Please send me a big wad of cash. I promise not to spend it on big bonuses. Honest.

Love, Rich x

i personally think that if they(politicians) wanted capitalism and globalism, and a free market
then, lets let the thing play itself out, whatever the consequences for banks and politicians

i think it was aristotle that said that anarchy must follow democracy.
guys like us will be ok as we can DO stuff that is useful in a bank free world
its the guys driving a desk that may have a problem

i hope it doesn't come to this ,but we ( as a nation) reap what we sow

Indeed Tony - they've had it too good for far too long in my opinion.

2008 will be good for us; I do hope 2009 will be as good but I'm not holding my breath.........

On R4's The News Quiz tonight (catch the repeat tomorrow at noon) one of the panellists summed it up quite succinctly: the banks have lost all their money, so we give them a big handful of ours in order that they can lend it back to us and charge us interest.
