you could relate this guys work ethic quite easily to the block paving market in the u.k.he's trying to justify in his website blurb, his justification for charging more for his product, than the white van man with a wheelbarrow ,with no overheads beating him on price for an inferior product. seems very fair to me!
I think I will include this in my own adverts! (not the 67 year old bit...)
"If you contract with me to do your design, here's my advice: avoid laying the "poor is me" trip on me. I'll detect that attitude in short order; so if you have a limited budget, please spare me from the opportunity to design something that will never get built the way it was designed.
At 67 years old and 24 years in this business, I'm fed up with all the manipulative demeanors I've encountered over those years. At this stage in my life, I'm not going to tolerate anyone's condescending demeanor, vacuous promises or insincere behavior at any time during the project. And I'll not tolerate being treated like a second class citizen.
If you are honest, forthright and of good moral character, we'll get along. And that's the only kind of customer I will deal with."
This bit: "Copyright infringement arises when someone produces a derivative work by publishing a photo or rendering a sketch, or permitting others to do so for publication in magazines, on the internet, or in any other visual medium without specific permission in writing from Mr. Deck". is absolute bollox. If you can photograph something from the public highway there is naff all anyone can do about it.
