just been reading about an old firm I used to sub for getting the contract to paint the Forth Bridge...for wait for it £74million Job is only goin to take four years, and the paint is supposed to last 25 years or more. TALK ABOUT EASY MONEY! It is supposed to put an end to that never ending job of lore. but we'll see. bet someone gets a golden handshake for that contract

Daft innit.
I was shocked to hear about a school having to pay £275 for someone to change a faulty light switch.
Something to do with the company in question having to meet special criteria before they can work in schools.
OK so in this day and age of public liability blah blah blah we reluctantly have to accept that this has a cost but £275 for a light switch is taking the p1ss

i have done school work and can well believe this
you have a wad of hse stuff the size of a phone book before you are allowed near, then the safety plan has to be drawn up and agreed between numerous suits, then multiple heras rail fences with ply cut at the bottom erected , so kids cannot get under it.
i think we got about £350+vat for installing a BI gully on an existing run,but all the to-ing and fro-ing adds up,plus the liability etc
cheers LLL
"what,you want paying today??"
