HI guys, neighbours are an older couple who already have some garden buildings of their own, mind you he has been shedding vicariously through me, and he's been very helpful when I've done silly things like run out of nails half way through a section, plus he's offered lots of useful advice.

There's no gutters yet but they're in the pipeline (boom boom). I'll be mostly draining into a grey water storage (butts or tank) and any over flow I'll direct to the surroundig flower beds and hedgrow.

No sky dish 'yet' ...

Bit of a status update (coz I know that you're all bursting to know what's going on..)

Over the last few weekends I've been working on the insides.

The walls are now fully lined with 100mm rockwool (plus breathable membrane on the cold side and vapour barrier on the warm side).

Over the top of that I've fixed the remainder of the OSB (from the roof) and the leftover T&G (from the outside walls) - the OSB goes to the top of the walls and 4 'courses' of T&G run along under that.

I've given it all a couple of coats of some leftover white silk emulsion so it's a lot lighter in there.

Today I had to empty the whole place ready for the flooring. I've locally sourced and purchased some high density polystyrene and have layed the first 100mm.

Tomorrow (hopefully) the next 50mm goes down, mixed with the inverted 'eggboxes' of underfloor heating 'pipe guide' insulation - we had a quantity of pipe and insulation surplus from our recent extension, so this is going into the shed floor.

If I can get the floor down then I can move in before I get the ceiling insulated and boarded, so it might be 2 weeks

All the floor insulation is now down and the underfloor heating pipe has been placed.

Used a router to create the channel in the 'normal' polystyrene then dropped the 50m of UFH pipe into it, using the egg box sections to form the bends



I've fitted the floating chipboard floor this afternoon, no photies yet because (a) it was dark, and (b) how exciting can a photo of a chipboard floor be?

Well, it's been a while - I've been waiting four months for a sparky to come and hook me up!

Now that's mostly complete I can start getting on with the ceiling



1 First stage of electrics plumbed in - 10mm T&E on a 16A MCB
2 Internal lighting - fully switched L&N spur
3 PIR light on its own MCB
4 Internal lighting
5 Ring Main - 4mm T&E on a 32A MCB
6 Ring Main - 4mm T&E on a 32A MCB
7 Starting to insulate the ceiling using left over polystyrene
8 Hardboard covering - would prefer to use plasterboard or cladding but they are at least twice the price of hardboard - maybe later...
9 Will have to 'frame' the velux
10 After using up all the 50/75mm polystyrene switched to leftover rockwool
11 Second stage complete - now only the horizontal middle section to go
