Mrs FJ has done it again.

We are meeting up with a couple from down the road in our local tonight, they don`t drink that much or go out to often but our kids have got matey.

I have not spoken to either of them and their first impression of me will be based on a bucket full of stella and me foolishly chasing barmaids around at midnight.

Oh well that will be another neighbour blanking me, not many left to go now

Have a good one all

good fences make good neighbours joe

i learnt this the hard way after me and a neighbours son ended up inside after some youthful pranks went wrong

not one of those neighbours ever spoke to me again so i keep a polite distance now :;):

Polite is good -
My neighbour but one, has been blanking me for the last two years. We honestly don't know why - in the end, I think he disapproves of our lifestyle.
BTW - I'm the bloke who buys my Torygraph, & and combs my gravel every day.

over the last 10 years i have had various internet pals over to sunny luton stay (and i have reciprocated to the usa ,slovakia and spain)
thing i didnt realise was that other cultures idea of fun often does not involve drinking
i went to Romania and we met a lovely couple codrutz and kristina and they had a program worked out for us where every 5 minutes of the day was allocated
it was only after 2 hours in a pool hall that i clocked the stella we were drinking was 0 % alcohol
when i questioned codz about this he replied cheerily"but tony, alcohol is very bad for you so we dont drink it" :(
now i make sure that they like a good swallow before i meet them

What pen pals are for,

I`ll meet you outside the Arndale LLL or that boozer on Latimer Rd something to do with a King i think, failing that the Windmill ?

I was in a snooker club recently drinking Becks, after 3/4 bottles the barmaid walks over and drops some change in my hand, she then informed me she had charged me for normal Becks and not the cheaper non-alcohol stuff that i was supping.

When i next went to the bar and ordered the real mcCoy she said that they didn`t sell it, only the 0% stuff, what the f^%& is all that about :p fortunately Stella and her sister Grolsh were in to save the day

What a great way to meet new people in other countries, Tony - I like that idea.

I don't know anybody abroad......I know Steve from Wallsall, Baz from Donny.....the list goes on...... :D

I have lived in my rd nearly 4 years and only know the neighbours with a courteous nod of the head. first week there no one acknowledged us. the kids speak to their kids. that seems to be the way here in the south. im not bothered as I'm working all the time. In Birmingham when someone moves in the neighbours are out to meet and greet you with a cuppa, or something stronger. I did this last year when a family moved in whilst we were away. I went round to introduce myself ( as you do ) he opened the door looked down his nose at me and said" bot are you bonting pleze". yes a Pakistani family had moved in. So we don't even get the nod now ( think this could be because his turban might fall off ). I continue with the good mornings etc;

hmm latimer road you got
the mother redcap, the globe, and the windsor castle (in the process of being demolished for yet more flats
there was a kings arms in chapel street (now a gay bar) and a king richard the 3rd in london road but thats been called o'sheas for 15 years now.
its weird how abroad they can get decent beers alcohol free,a lot of eastern europe the drink drive limit is zero so they have to i suppose
that kaliber is kak ,i would rather drink dishwater :)

Raffa`s under some pressure LLL, so he will have to get the big guns out (or so you would think !)

Having said that your lads havn`t conceded much in the last dozen games so a score draw would be worth a punt me thinks/hopes.
