Wages - Pay differance

one of my old labs has just started back with me hes a good bloclayer . anyway tonight putting gear in compound sam a polish lab handed me the keys for lock up and carl says to me ;thats what im gonna do plenty of cheap poles and make loads of dosh; now when i told him the company pays him £3 pound an hour more he woz not to pleased .there seams to be a misconception that imigrant workers are cheap the reality is if there good they get a fair wack. whats your opinion?

Seems to me that the Polish workers are building a really good reputation, which will in turn mean that they are in greater demand, and rightly able to demand higher wages. If you have a good worker that you want to keep hold of, whatever their nationality, treat them well, or they will soon find work elsewhere.

hey im in total agrement early 90s i worked in germany when lads on site found out what we earned we had to say we paid tax back home . because we got more per hour truth is we did 10 hour days to there 8 and we grafted same thing in holland .
