The fastest driver ever caught in a routine speed check in the UK has been sentenced to 10 weeks in jail.

Timothy Brady, 33, of Earls Crescent, Harrow, north-west London, pleaded guilty at Oxford Crown Court to dangerous driving.

Brady was clocked at 172mph in a Porsche 911 Turbo in a 70mph zone on the A420 in Oxfordshire on 27 January.

He should have hired that lawyer who gets all the footballers and other feckers off with stunts like that, got old whiskey nose slur alex off with driving up the hard shoulder by saying he had the trots and needed a dump. Easy peasy

agree with LLL, clarkson et all promote dangerous driving behaviour.

Another motoring topic for comment. How many unreadble number plates do you see each day and how many unsecured loads on 40ft trailers???

Too many!

and how many badly overloaded (sometimes just overloaded axles) wagons/trailers do you see on the roads? We see quite a few round here....

Often see a transit or pick up towing far too heavy a mini digger on behind.......

A 51 year old guy, drives a souped up car at 120mph into an innocent bystander causing permanent paralysis and he is deemed suitable to be a head teacher. I worry for you guys over there sometimes, I really do.....If I had my way, the only job he would be get would be as a crash test dummy.

On the point of Clarkson, does ayone really take him seriously. I get the impression his stance is all a bit "toung in cheek". I always wondered how they got away with driving across Europe at 200kph in those challenges he does. If he was cought in France doing that, wouldn't he be arrested?
