they are ok for square cuts and some angles but personally i prefer the stihl saw and the diamond blade,i think you get a neater job and the cut is regular all the way down the block.
i know others swear by them,but diamond blades are so cheap now a driveway might only use half a blade and 5L of petrol

ps if you get a splitter get one with a new blade,once the blade wears they are useless :)

I prefer a splitter because they are faster and cleaner than a saw, but I would have no hesitation to use a saw for really awkward cuts.

However, with the new regulations governing the cutting of paving units, unless your saw has a water attachment and you are, effectively, wet-cutting and thereby eliminating dust, the Elfin Safety Exec will be ready to boot your arse. The industry at large has been warned that 'dry cutting' will not be tolerated....
