formula for pavers?

Hi! Anyone out there have the formula for estimating amounts needed of spartan I and II paving stones for a patio. I do know the square footage. Thanks!

We don't have 'Spartan' pavers in Europe, and I can't find them in my reference book for North America, so I can't tell you how many blocks per square metre (square feet are no longer used in Eurpoean/British/Irish civil engineering) there are.
