I laughed a couple of weeks ago when the contractor drove off, leaving his hapless £40 a day labourer behind to answer questions!

phew! i've been walkin about the last few days feeling like a con-man after that show, but thanks to you lot i feel much better. I nearly choked on my dinner when that 'expert' said £300 and then saying that dry-mix was crap! All the past jobs i've done came flooding back in a wave of guilt, and thinking about past clients watching it made me feel worse! I was half expecting a dozen calls asking me to go back and "do the job properly".

I would have charged in the region of £600 for the job though i'm not VAT registered yet and i also work alone most of the time, especially for a small job like that.

Anyway, you've cheered me up, thanks a million!
