Base for above ground swimming pool
We are thinking of putting in a concrete base for an above ground swimming pool to sit on (approximately 5x3 meters) which when full should weigh around 11 tonnes so just looking for advice on the thickness of the sub-base and slab required. My plan was for 100mm of compacted MOT then 100mm of C35 concrete but haven't really been able to find any clear guidance so thats just my assumption, any advice is appreciated as I'd rather do it properly and cost it out rather than find out later that I've under-engineered it!

The website has this section
https://www.pavingexpert.com/faq_subbase#depth
Where it mentions about load distribution
To my mind, a swimming pool of 11 tonnes will be evenly distributed weight (as opposed to a truck with 4 to 6 points of loading where the wheels touch the ground) so I would suspect that a sub-base layer of 150-200 may be suitable and then whatever depth of reinforced concrete above.
I remember Tony saying "Stone is a lot cheaper than Concrete"
Disclaimer - I am not a hard (or any kind of) landscaper - I've just used the website information and never had a problem
