Hi all,
My client has a really old cottage that is brick built on top of chunks of sandstone. There is no DPC in the old section but a DPC in the extension. The extension isn't a problem as we can get 150mm below the DPC for the Yorkstone path. My question is what do I do about the old section? I think that I need to install a vertical membrane to stop any damp but does anyone have any other ideas? Is putting up a vertical DPC membrane enough? The path will fall away from the house on a fall of 1:60?

Re: NO DPC
Maybe 2 courses of slates bedded onto the wall 150 above path level?
