Damp proofing

Hi
Been asked to quote damp proofing on an old terraced house.
I've used sand cement render over the years,a metre high then multi finish.

The surveyor has asked for breathable membrane fitted to the wall and hardwall plaster done over. Prior to breathable membrane also specified Dryzone injected into the joints.

Twice the cost,twice the ball ache.
But if surveyor at housing association wants it then......

Whats opinions on breathable membranes

we have done this recently using wykamol
not a breathable membrane just a nobbly plastic sheet you fit to the wall,with plastic plugs you have to hammer in
it has cured the problem but is a slow fit
we had the choice of dry lining or plaster
but went with dry lining
it works
